OCTOBER 1ST
Seniors for Climate
4.15 - 5.30pm-ish: meet under the highway bridge on Lions Bay Avenue.

Calling all seniors and all who will one day be a senior!

From the Seniors for Climate website: "Join us to raise awareness of the urgent need to end the use of fossil fuels. With our vote, our spending power, and our advocacy as part of a broad-based and deep-rooted movement – so that our kids and our grandkids inherit a better world".

Help raise awareness of the urgent need to reduce GHG emissions with a sign-waving session to reach passing motorists on the highway and residents coming home.

-
BEFORE THE EVENT - Optional sign-making session: Sunday, September 29th from 2 to 4-ish in the Village Hall, 400 Centre Road, (or make your own at home). Please bring:
- card stock (repurposing a cardboard box is a good idea, an old sheet for a banner could also be fun)
- art supplies you may want to use or share
- anything you think will make a good sign to wave at passing motorists
-
AT THE EVENT: Tuesday, October 1st at 4.15pm. Meet under the highway bridge on Lions Bay Avenue with your signs. Please dress for the weather. Event ends around 5.30-ish.
-
Best suited for older kids (teens) and adults.
Questions? email us.
